Ruornil, the Silver Prince, is the god of the moon, the night and magic from the Cerilian pantheon.[1][3][2]

Overview[]

Ruornil is the god of magic and the guardian of the world's arcane forces and places of mystical power. His only true concern is protecting the sources of magical power hidden throughout the lands of Cerilia, and fights a bitter war against the encroachment of the Shadow World. As a mortal, Ruornil was an Anuirian who chose to serve Vorynn, the old god of magic, after Azrai had swayed the Vos to worship him. Ruornil inherited the power of Vorynn after he died at the battle of Mount Deimaar over 1,500 years ago.[1][3]

Ruornil has one daughter with Sera, the goddess of commerce, named Eloéle, the Sister of Thieves.[4]

Description[]

Ruornil manifests as a slender, dark haired youth in silver robes, and prefers to walk the land under the light of the moon. He can harmlessly absorb any wizard spell cast at him.[1]

Holy Symbol[]

Ruornil's symbol is a crescent moon.[1]

Favored Weapon[]

None. As a true mage, Ruornil prefers to use magic in battle.[1]

Realm[]

Ruornil maintains a realm, known as the Silver Lands, on the Concordant Domain of the Outlands.[2][5]

Worship[]

Ruornil is worshipped by woodsmen, astrologers and wizards. All Cerilian mages acknowledge Ruornil's power, even if they do not worship him. Temples of Ruornil are usually hidden in the forests and dells of the wilderness; however the Anuirian branch have taken an interest in politics. [1]
