Pyrespace is an otherwise unnamed star-system that is home to the SPELLJAMMER: SHADOW OF THE SPIDER MOON Campaign Setting.[1]

Celestial bodies[]

Pyrespace is a heliocentric system, with the system primary, a fire body known as the Pyre, lying at the center of the star system and orbited by 5 planets, their satellites, and a variety of asteroids and other bodies.[2]

The Pyre (Sun)[]

Main article: Pyre, The

The Pyre is a fiery body that warms and illuminates the inner worlds, and is located at the center of Pyrespace.[3]

Ashen[]

Main article: Ashen

Ashen is the closest planet to the fiery sun, and as such is a searingly hot world covered by a desert of white sands.[4]

Verdura[]

Main article: Verdura

Verdura is the first habitable planet, and is covered pole to pole by lush, thick tropical jungles.[5]

Quelya[]

Main article: Quelya

Quelya is a watery world studded with long island chains which crisscross its surface.[6]

Perianth[]

Main article: Perianth

Perianth is dominated by thick, ancient forests, and has one moon, known as the Spider Moon.[7]

The Chain of Tears[]

Main article: Chain of Tears, The

The Chain of Tears is an asteroid belt that separates and protects the inner planets from the dangers beyond.[8]

Moradin's Forge[]

Main article: Moradin's Forge

Moradin's Forge is the last planet in the system, and is a dark, frigid mountainous world.[9]

The Outer Zone[]

Beyond the Chain of Tears lies the Outer Zone, where hurtling comets, deadly meteor showers, and stranger celestial phenomena endanger unwary travelers. Most lethal of all is the bone-numbing cold of the region, as the Chain of Tears block most of the heat emanating from the Pyre.[10]
