Morgan's World is a celestial body that orbits the dark blue sun in the crystal sphere known as Herospace. It is the only spherical earth body in orbit around the dark blue sun.[1][2]

Overview[]

Named for Morgan Darkdawn of Greyspace, the planet's first inhabitant and reputedly one of those rare individuals who managed to escape from Ravenloft, Morgan's World is one of the most disturbing sights in Herospace. The planet's grim landscape is dark and twisted, with forests of grossly malformed trees and gruesome mountains deformed into unspeakable visages that stare blindly into the bitter, harsh rain-filled skies. The wildlife of Morgan’s world are as misshapen as their homeworld; consisting of animals so deformed that they are mere shadows of their former selves.

Morgan’s World’s greatest feature, however, is the effect its atmosphere has on most intelligent humanoids. When the sun has set, and an inhabitant wanders into the wilderness, they can be overcome by a state of euphoria; a trance where fantasy becomes reality as their stupefied minds see and experience whatever they wish. In this manner, the aggressive, evil nature of Morgan’s World’s inhabitants appears to be pacified and catered for without undue loss of life.[2]

Inhabitants[]

The purpose and intent of Herospace is to provide those remarkable individuals revered as heroes by the common man the opportunity to live relatively undisturbed lives among peers with similar world views. As such, Morgan's World is reserved for heroes of Neutral Evil alignment.

The depressing sight of the dark blue sun rising in the sky of Morgan's World appeals only to the most dismal and depraved of personalities, and as such this world serves as a true haven for those of the purest, most untainted evil. As with all planets in Herospace, Morgan's World does not have a large dominant governing body. Instead the Rational Order of Magistrates responds to all disturbances on Morgan's World and helps to resolve any difficulties. The Order maintains a naval outpost on all planets in Herospace, and during times of difficulty will deploy emissaries from these outposts. It seems, however, that of all the system’s planets, the Magistrates loathe to visit Morgan’s World the most.[2]

Crystal Shards[]

When a person (and his or her spouse and their offspring) is granted access to Morgan's World, they are given a shard of dark blue crystal, similar in hue to the dark blue sun. This shard grants access to the atmosphere of Morgan's World, allowing the bearer and their party to pass through an impenetrable force field and land on the planet. If an inhabitant has a problem, they may communicate with the Order via their shard of crystal.[3]
