Spelljammer Wiki

Kirstig's Homeworld is an otherwise unnamed planet from the Spelljammer campaign setting.[3][4] This spherical earth body has one moon.[1]

Overview[]

Kirstig's homeworld has numerous landmasses surrounded by large bodies of water. The region visited by Meredith's ship is arid and desolate, and consists mostly of wasteland with little to no vegetation.[1]

Inhabitants[]

The region visited by Meredith's ship was inhabited by a group of humans known as the People of Song and Story, whose "voices were trained to power, and whose words were linked to magic."[5] The members of the tribe could call on the teachings of the Father of Tales for spells[2] which they cast using short staves or rods known as Ko sticks.[6] Spells known to the People include the Tale of Fire (produce flame),[6] the Tale of Comprehension (tongues),[7][8] the Tale of Power's Dispersal (dispel magic),[9] the Tale of Fire's Dismissal (protection from fire),[10] the Tale of Surrounding (shield),[11] the Tale of Traversing the Air (fly),[12] invisibility,[13] magic missile,[14] and light,[15]

Kirstig, an elder of the tribe encountered by Meredith's crew, was a priestess of the Mother of Songs and was granted both spells and visions to guide her people. Kirstig's tribe had inhabited the Rainlands for many generations before being forced by drought to go in search of better pastures.[4] Senior members of the tribe, as well as scouts, rode large reptilian quadrupeds with compound eyes, while the rest of the tribe walked on foot, driving their herds of sheep-like animals ahead of them. The tribe relied on huge armoured reptilian draft beasts known as droges to carry their belongings, and a pair were even used to carry Meredith's smalljammer to the closest body of water.[16]

Satellites[]

Kirstig's homeworld has a single moon.[1]
