Guldor is a world that has been conquered by the forces of the drow goddess Lolth.[1][2]
Overview[]
Guldor is a mountainous world, whose sharply pointed peaks thrust into the sky like stalagmites, while the sun lies low against the horizon. The stars hang heavily in the bluish-purple and overcast sky, like gibbous moons. Guldor was subjugated by the drow goddess Lolth several decades ago. The last holdout to fall was the dwarven kingdom of Maldev,[1] which was eventually overrun by Lolths' army of gnolls, bugbears, ogres, trolls, giants and perytons.[2]
A magnificent fortress of sleak stone turrets and great battlements built into a conical mountain defends the only subterranean highway into Maldev. Known as Kandelspire, this nigh-impregnable fortress is currently occupied by Kiaransalee, the drow goddess of vengeance and undeath, who is still smarting after her defeat at the hands of the demon lord Orcus.[1]
