Guldor is a world that has been conquered by the forces of the drow goddess Lolth.

Overview

Guldor is a mountainous world, whose sharply pointed peaks thrust into the sky like stalagmites, while the sun lies low against the horizon. The stars hang heavily in the bluish-purple and overcast sky, like gibbous moons. Guldor was subjugated by the drow goddess Lolth several decades ago. The last holdout to fall was the dwarven kingdom of Maldev, which was eventually overrun by Lolths' army of gnolls, bugbears, ogres, trolls, giants and perytons.

A magnificent fortress of sleak stone turrets and great battlements built into a conical mountain defends the only subterranean highway into Maldev. Known as Kandelspire, this nigh-impregnable fortress is currently occupied by Kiaransalee, the drow goddess of vengeance and undeath, who is still smarting after her defeat at the hands of the demon lord Orcus.
