Astrylon is a planet in the Spelljammer campaign setting.[1] This spherical earth body has three moons.[4]
Overview[]
Astrylon is dominated by a technologically advanced mercantile republic which is governed by a council of merchant princes, known as the Diet of Elders, who elect the ruler, known as the Doge. The republic was defended by a fleet of galleons, headed by the Knights of the Order of the White Plume. Astrylon's trading fleet of spelljammers travelled throughout the sphere bringing back luxury goods and gems, while the Order of the White Plume's ships were deployed to hunt down brigands and pirates, and to wage war against Astrylon's mercantile rivals, especially her sister planet Barrara.[1]

History[]
Astrylon's Diet of Elders was approached by a beautiful spellcaster named Nimone, who claimed to represent an alliance of three trade worlds who proposed to wage war on the planet Barrara. The Doge, mindful of his advancing years, supported the proposal, hoping to distract the competing factions of his court while his successor was decided on by the Diet. The Order of the White Plume, despite having no real interest in the proposed venture, also supported the alliance in an effort to maintain peace on Astrylon.
When the Astrylon fleet, led by the Knights of the White Plume, arrived at the rendezvous coordinates, they were ambushed by the combined fleets of the three trade worlds as well as that of Barrara. The Astrylon armada was annihilated, and all but a few of the Knights put to the sword. When the old Doge was informed of what had occured, he was overcome with shock and died, and the Diet of Elders were compelled to elect a weakling as Doge at the behest of the Barrarans. Astrylon was sacked of its treasures, and reduced to a client-world of Barrara.[1]
